Fleur van Groningen: The intimate look

A nice article in Gallery Viewer in which Fleur van Groningen writes about painters who fascinate her, including my work.
Fleur van Groningen (1982) is a well-known Flemish writer, columnist, journalist and cartoonist (The Art Couch, Knack). In the past she wrote and made cartoons for De Morgen, Goedele Magazine, De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad and NRC Handelsblad.

“Marena Seeling (1953, NL) lives and works in Nijmegen and grew up in a dike house on the Waal, the river just outside that city. As a child she saw how the industrial area steadily swallowed the polder and that image is repeated in her paintings. She still returns to her native village and captures industrialization in watercolour. Seeling also takes beautiful photos during long bike rides – which she discusses on her blog Hooglicht – and cuts out shapes from which she explores the new meaning on canvas.”
