You are cordially invited to the opening of the exhibition Perfekt Dissonant on Sunday, October 15 at 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Art Gallery O-68.
“Perfect Dissonant is a duo exhibition with two positions in painting that share abstraction and the effect of light. About time as movement in space, a vision or dream that precedes knowledge in the works of Lon Godin and knowledge of a reality that precedes imagination in the works of Marena Seeling.
In the recent work of Marena Seeling, her years of research into space and light in the familiar river landscape of the Waal have taken flight. In the exhibition at O-68 she shows works in which she no longer paints the light but directs it through movement and folding. They are white, spatial objects made of cardboard whose fold lines refract the light.
Lon Godin’s work will be on display from the series ‘Momentary Halt Infinate Flow’. Under this title, she has worked in recent years on a monumental wall consisting of 120 smaller paintings and a series of large canvases.”
